Kalakar-X operates under a dual fee structure where artists keep 100% of their base performance rates, while a minor platform fee is charged to organizers to sustain platform administration, security infrastructure, escrow protection, and verified listing verifications.
For Artists: Commission-Free
Showcasing your talent and securing bookings on Kalakar-X is completely free of commission charges.
Artists keep 100% of the booking amount agreed upon with the organizer.
What is included for free:
- Professional profile and online portfolio hosting.
- Escrow payment protection ensuring organizers pay before performance.
- Free dashboard analytics on page views and booking analytics.
- Manual bank withdrawals directly into your registered Indian bank account.
For Organizers: Platform Fee
Organizers are charged a service fee calculated on the total value of each confirmed booking agreement.
Calculated automatically and added during booking confirmation checkout.
What this fee funds and protects:
- Escrow handling that locks funds securely during booking.
- Full access to Kalakar-X's directory of pre-screened and verified talent.
- Automated digital contract agreements customized to your event specifications.
- Dedicated 24/7 organizer support desk to assist with replacement talent in emergency situations.
Payouts & Escrow Mechanics
To maintain safety, all bookings must transition through the Kalakar-X payment gateway:
- Secure Escrow: The organizer pays the full contract amount (artist fee + 9% platform fee) upon confirming the booking.
- Fund Protection: The booking amount stays in our secure trust escrow account until the event is marked as successfully completed.
- Artist Payout: Payout is released to the artist's bank account within 24-48 hours after successful event completion.
Refund & Cancellations
In cases where bookings are canceled, refunds are governed by our cancellation policies:
- Artist Cancellation: 100% refund is processed to the organizer, including the 9% platform fee.
- Organizer Cancellation: Subject to the cancellation terms set by the artist during booking (e.g., non-refundable deposit terms).

Taxes are applied in accordance with Indian tax laws:
